Board Policies The School District's Board Policies are what drive the operating decisions of the district. The Board of Directors create policies and direct the superintendent to create appropriate procedures in accordance with the Board Policies. The School Board uses the legal department of the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) when developing policies. WSSDA creates sample policies that help local school boards incorporate all of the legal requirements into the policy. The laws are constantly changing, which requires the policies to change. Cape Flattery School District Administrators and the School Board work hard in making sure that the polices throughout the district are as up to date as possible. This is a challenging task at times. Eventually the Board Policies will be on-line- but for now the Board Policy Manuals can be located at each site. The Manuals are usually located in the library. Ask the building principal if you need help locating the manual. To better help those interested- the following information will help you navigate through the Board Policies.
